I think that the smoking ban is a good thing however the stupid *** Government need to see the big picture. However for thr record, I do think that if you work in a pub , bar TGI etc smoking was part on the gig pre smoking ban and no one moaned about it. If they didnt like working in a smokey environment then they got another job , maybee as a lawyer or business analyst. or somethin else that would really be much too hard for me to do! I would like to point it out that it was ME who breathed new life into this thread, by bringing up the whole issue of the smoking ban being great news for the staff and non smoking customers.

So I would like to thank EVERYONE who had bitten to the bait on an old story that I,ve heard a 1000 times due to working in pubs and listening to smokers and non smokers ramble on about smoking in pubs since the ban was introduced in July 2007.

 The law will never be changed, but its great having a vocal debate about it.
