Can you believe it has been 3 years since Morrisons closed shop at Tunbridge Wells (Vale Road) and there has still been no decision as to whether another company will move in? I thought 3 years would have been plenty of time for Morrisons to make an arrangement but looking at the current economy we may be left with an empty shop for even longer.
With the lack of foot traffic, surrounding companies have really felt the lack of business. Some shops have even had to make a few Kent jobs redundant. It is a shame as the site could really be developed and used.
If you had the choice, what would you have the building developed into?
What do you think would benefit the community? Another supermarket, something related to leisure, have it divided into several retail shops?
