Girls & Ladies Football For Tunbridge Wells
Tunbridge Wells Foresters was formed in 1982 to provide football to boys & girls within the locality of Tunbridge Wells and has now become the major footballing provider in the town. We were the first club in the country to fully adopt the principles of mini soccer as a basis for our players to be able to progress and develop at a junior soccer level and then on into adult football.
In the summer of 2006 it was decided to set up a girl's squad which was instigated by the now manager of the squad, Mark Nicholson. Just starting out with 5 girls the squad grew to 30 within 12 months and the girls have been very successful within the Crowborough & District League.
Winners of the Under 11s Cup 3 years in a row is a feat not achieved by any other squad within the Foresters network and they are now keen to seek new girl players from age groups 9 - 13 over the next few months before the start of the season in September 2009.
